Richard Cochrill, Featured Artist.

Strongly linear, vivid paintings often with metallic layers, Richard's work is dramatic and powerful.
He is at his best with his architectural, and abstract work. This is definitely work that makes a statement!
His featured work is Union United Church, (19x29, $300 Acrylic).

May Featured Artist, Debra Chantler

Debra's art photography, is heavy with romance.
Her featured image 'Serenity' (20x24, $175.00 printed on canvas), is- for her -a relatively rare single image, often she layers images reminiscent of the double exposures of yesteryear.
With no digital trickery at all, she has managed to capture the meditative quality of this single swan floating on a mirror like pond.

Pat Brown, Featured Artist

Pat is accomplished in both oil, and watercolour, not any easy thing to do, as these two mediums are very different to work with. Her featured work is 'The Rockies' oil, (12x16, $200.00)
I especially like the way she has scribed into the surface of the work to hint at the foliage, creating a subtle, texture that draws you into the painting.

Carolyne McLeod, Featured Artist

Carolyne is one of our very talented featured artists for May, here at the Art Emporium.
The work she selected to hang here as her featured work is a lovely water colour called 'Spring Birches' (16x20, $250.00)
She also was recently honoured when  one of her incredible collage works "Ancient Wisdom" was selected to be the poster piece for the Port Stanley Artists' Guild Annual Show and Sale this year, which is held June 6,7 and 8th at the Legion, here in Port Stanley.
