April Feature Artist: Robert Reid

Robert Reid is an inspiration to all of us, He is tireless, in his 80's he can run rings around the rest of us 'younger folks'. He's painted for longer than most of us have been alive, plays in several bands and orchestras, sings and is a avid gardener too.
His featured work this month is "Waterfall", a lovely watercolour that feels like summer.

April Feature Artist: Paul McSherry

Paul makes glass dance and sing, this ain't yur momma's stained glass fur sure.
These confections of agate, glass and metal are pure enchantment. His featured piece is called Astral Daze, and this picture doesn't do it justice, so you'll have to come see it for your self!

April Featured Artist: Elissa Sisco

Elissa is new to the Boathouse Gallery, although her work has been  in our gift boutique for over a year.
Elissa's Mom, a charming lady who usually comes with her to the gallery, says that Elissa must have been a tree nymph in another life, because of her fascination with and love of trees.
Certainly the trees she so lovingly paints show a magical touch worthy of such a mystical creature.

Judy Ross: April Feature Artist

Multi talented, versatile Judy Ross  is a force to be reckoned with. Photographer, painter, collagist and jeweller are but a few of her talents. Her featured piece this month is a marvellously textured collage titled 'Fan Fare', redundant in rich coppers and turquoises. Judy has recently moved within the gallery to a bigger wall with her pal Richard, who's metallic rich work nicely complements Judy's.

Quite the busy Lady, this is what Judy has been up to...
Three  paintings were accepted into Paint Ontario - Cityscape #4 and Cityscape #5 and Wheat #8 - Harvest Time.

Debra Kubu: Colourist

Doesn't this large poppy just ooze sensuality? Debra's work shows her deep understanding and mastery of colour, plus she excels at every media she uses. She paints, uses pastel, collage, and makes them all sing.
Bravo Debra!

Impressive Digital Art, George Sapkowski

George recently enlarged his wall space to further show the scope of his work.
We've noticed a definite tendency for traffic to come to a halt right in front of his work,   with even more of his drop dead gorgeous work on the wall, we anticipate the need for a traffic cop...just kidding, or am I?

The Many Faces of Randy Bloye

Randy calls himself a man of many faces....and he is the carver of many, many faces, and houses, and 'landscapes'.
He's one of our featured artists this month,  one of the artists who's work is at our Aeolian Hall show, and he has just move to a bigger space within our Boathouse Gallery. No matter where it's displayed
Randy's whimsical work often elicits oooohs and awwwws.  #artemporium  #originalart

Wilf Chappell: Master of Manipulated Data

Wilf really is quite amazing, alteration aside.  He see's images, within images, within images. With a tweak here, and emphasis there he manipulates the data, until we can see it too.
Some of his images are fun, others eerie, and always fascinating. His recent successes at the Westland Gallery Miniature show, are proof others find them so.
Wilf has just moved his work to a bigger wall within the Boathouse Gallery, come for a visit and see his incredible work for yourself!

It's A Beautiful Day In Port Stanley

When I took this picture just now, I had no idea what I was taking, the sun is so bright that I couldn't see my phone screen, and better the sun is warm compared to the air.
Give them a bit longer to finish clearing the roads, then get on down here.  We're open in the Art Emporium, Boathouse Gallery and Gift Boutique until 4:00, and if you need more incentive to come to Port, the Wharf serves breakfast until 1:00, and the Windjammers's famous brunch is served until 3.
It's a great day to come to the Canada's South Coast!
